I really like your software!

I bought a Nikon Collpix 4500 a year ago and I already counted almost 12000 pictures made inless then 10 months. That's the freedom given to us by digital photography. In December, last year my older daughter got married and I have over 1000 pictures with wedding preparations, wedding ceremony and wedding reception.

I wanted to prepare for her and her husband a set of slide shows with all these pictures.I wanted to attach music (classical music is my favorite). I started with Nikon View and the software coming with my Coolpix camera. I was not quite happy. I was not able to add music to the slides. Later I tried Roxio Photo Suite. They allow you to add music - but after I prepared the slideshow CD I noticed that all slide transitions included a black screen lasting for about a second. And actually Photo Suite has only a plain transition (i.e.no visual effect).

Then I discovered your software. Although it appeared to be rather plain, I was positively surprise to discover the richness of the capabilities (large number of transitions, Text titles, text transitions, individual music attachement, etc), and how easy all the tasks can be accomplished. I liked that I can pack one or more slides on a CD (with my favorite musical pieces) and pass it to a family member or friend who just needs a computer but no sodftware installation (ie.the autorun feature).

I am a software engineer myself (Java,EJB, J2EE, SWing) and I really appreciate a good piece of software when I encounter it.

I absolutely love this photo software. Specifically, I love the extended amount of the free trial version and that it allowed me to use it in full, without placing text over my images when I created a slide show like other software trials did. I recently got married and put together a slide show
with pictures of my wife and I growing up, our family, and friends. It was a gift that we could give for all of our guests and most importantly, those that help shaped the people we are today. Everyone loved the slide show and have asked for copies of it, which I can easily do using the Auto Run producer. The method of using the software is incredibly easy and user friendly. I loved how all I had to do is organize my picture files and music files and simply point to a folder and hit start. I also enjoy using the web slide show feature for my website. It has really made posting a
huge number of pictures easy. If there's any drawback in the web slide show, is that it's so easy and our friends and family demand picture updates even faster than I can take pictures and post them. That is a strong compliment, because as technology gets better and easier, people expect
more. Well, in summary, I'm very happy with the product and have recommended it to several of my friends.

We found your program about a year ago when we were working on scanning slides. We used your program to set up captions, etc and created CDs for our children. It was a wonderful Christmas present.

I work at a college in Sioux Falls and my wife and I have done 3 workshops for staff and retirees where we have demonstrated the program and the results that we obtained.

This last Saturday we did a similar presentation to a Family history conference that was held in Sioux Falls. We had about 40 people in attendance. There was lots of interest in what we had done.

Our first CD had over 800 pictures on it. Last Spring, we scanned and put captions on another 1,000 photos and will give that as a present this year.  The 2 CDs will cover about 30 years of our family. It has been a great way to share.

I have attempted to buy a good slideshow presentation programme from local UK suppliers to no avail, so I surfed the net and simply typed-in "Slideshow" as my search criteria. From the half-dozen different free downloads, your software was not only the best on offer, but allowed a more flexible control without being over complicated - it is an extremely user-friendly system - so thanks for that innovation. The final test show produced using your programme, was easy to compile and even easier to burn (Using Nero 5.5) The final result looked very professional, which in turn will certainly allow me to portray my company in a likewise, professional manner. So thanks to you again.

Your trial also allowed a 60 day period compared with between 15 and 30 from other manufacturers. Some other manufacturers also permitted the inclusion of only five images per show, during the trial and thus were discounted from my supply list!

We travel extensively and whilst we have a website, found older family members overseas or interstate were unable to access the internet. With the DPSS, we can put all our photos of a trip - with comments! - onto a CD and send it anywhere in the world. We recently took my partner's mother to Japan for a month and on return, sent her a CD of all the photos. Not computer literate, she still managed to borrow a friend's computer and view the photos easily with DPSS. Now I can't wait to do another CD of Uluru and Alice Springs!

I downloaded the program and began using it in 15 minutes. I couldn't have
been happier.

I had 5 CDs with over 4000 digital pictures and no way to show them, aside
from laboriously clicking one at a time on my Windows '98. I also have
Photoshop Elements which is great for image processing but doesn't have a
side show capability.

So, your product was exactly what I needed and I'm touting it to my friends.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you for your wonderful slide show software. I took the trip of my lifetime to South Africa. I bought a digital camera before I left, and I captured, at least in my mind, many wonderful pictures and memories. After I returned, all my friends told me they wanted to see my pictures. What was I to do? I had Windows ME running on my PC, and I was able only to show the pictures using the simple slide show that came with my operating system. I could only show one or two people at a time because the screen is pretty small, but at least I had a tool at my finger tips.

My Windows ME operating system began to degrade, and it finally reached the point that I could no longer bear to work on it. I finally made the decision to trash ME and install Windows 2000. That in itself was a major chore. I love my new operating system, but much to my dismay I discovered that there was no slide show capability. I could not live with this, so I performed a search on the Internet for slide show software. I think someone from above must have been watching me and pointed me to your perfect program. Not only did I now have a slide show, but also I had a superior, professional one, a slide show that allowed captions and music! I made sure I paid for it before my evaluation period expired because there was no way I was going to lose the slide show of South Africa that I produced. I wish you could see it. I showed it to my sister, and she said, “wow, this is better than watching National Geographic”. I was so pleased.

The final challenge came when I decided to place the slide show on a CD. I just knew there was no way it could be as good as the one on my PC, but I just had to try it. I was so disappointed with my first CD because the music sounded garbled on it. I couldn’t give it to my friends that way. Then I just happened to go to your web page and noticed the FAQ list. There the answer to my problem was right in front of my eyes. I needed to resize the pictures to the resolution of my screen display. I remembered seeing a photo resizer with your software. I used it, and it was really fast. I did a mass copy of the captions and music to the new folder I created for the resized pictures, and burned another CD. I couldn’t believe it - it was perfect!

Guess what all my friends and relatives are getting for Christmas - their own personal CD with my South Africa slide show.

At a recent family reunion I took over a hundred photos with my digital camera (set for maximum resolution), and after returning home and downloading them to my computer, I started looking for a slide show program, and the first one I found was your Digital Photo Slide Show. I found it easy to use, and within a couple of hours I had created a photo CD, complete with music, to send to our children and grandchildren. I am delighted with the results. Over a year ago my husband started to research slide show software. We

I have dual careers. I am a teacher of academically gifted students, and a
professional photographer.

I first used Digital Photo Slide Show to make a CD slide show with music of
the activities at the retirement of my principal. She was especially grateful,
and four other people asked if they could buy a CD. This was from my first
use of Digital Photo Slide Show during my trial period. My colleagues paid my
registration fee for me!!!

At another building where I teach, I gave the principal a CD Slide show with
music of a class activity less than an hour after the activity. She was so

I had the pleasure of preparing a slide retrospective for my sister-in-law to celebrate her 50th birthday. It took several days to settle on scanning options and to scan the 160 photos that were selected. As a Network Admin, I don't get a chance to use Powerpoint very often, but I figured I could make it do what I wanted after a few minutes of review -wrong!

By noon Friday I was getting a little worried and decided to bail on Powerpoint after three very unproductive hours. A quick search on CNET Download brought up your program amongst a host of others, but I was attracted by two things primarily - recent updates to a mature product and the chance to use the entire program, not a cripple version, for up to 60 days before I had to buy or stop using it.

As I said earlier, after downloading DPSS I was sold almost immediately. This past Sunday I was able to present a first-rate slide presentation, complete with humorous text and music, to the delight of those gathered. I received many kudos, but it was DPSS that saved the day. Thanks for this useful and affordable gem. I plan to be a customer for quite a while.

I have been using computers since 1957. The first one was a mainframe with a 36
megabyte hard drive that weighed two tons and shook the building when the
hydraulic arms were operating. I am now 81 years old and try to find software I
can use without wasting my brain thinking. This Slideshow software does it all
and if you cannot use it properly it does it for you. I have thousands of World
War II Navy pictures and several patriotic songs of the time on CD and I just
cannot seem to make it fail. I recommend this software to anyone with a need to
make slide shows.

I wanted to make a CD with 375 digital photos of Peru and Ecuador, with appropriate music. My $100 program (Easy Cd Creator V.5) repeated failed to make the CD. In desperation, I turned to Google's search engine. I came up with several slideshows. I downloaded one, and tried it, but it failed. Then I downloaded the trial version of Digital Photo Slide Show and it worked perfectly. I especially liked the 100 + transitions. The program met my needs. I highly recommend it.

Does it have to be Microsoft? I tested several slide show programs and liked Digital Photo Slide Show best. It has a free 60 day trial period for the full version and is only $20 to purchase (a very small sum for a program that does all that you ask). Check it out.

I came home last week from Mexico with 250 digital photos. Of course, they were all "precious". Up to now I have just e-mailed random shots. I have family and a few friends in other cities who are at best, good with e-mail only. I wanted a program that would let me create memories of family events, placed on CD ROM and the CD would automatically start and just run for them. Like other users, I tried many trial versions of other programs. They were either too cutsey (lots of Happy Birthday art or graduation banners), were hard to use, or offered little flexibility. This was it!

I purchased the software just from reading the comments from other users. They were right. I downloaded the program, pointed it to a folder with JPG's and I had an instant slide show with default settings 5 minutes later. It just played. Then it was extremely easy to set about customizing transitions, making captions for comments (very easy), timing of slides, adding sound and more. It was fun to learn by the way. The Autorun set up program for self launching a CD ROM was a walk in the park to create - select some check box choices in a dialog box and then publish. As a bonus you get 4-5 other programs that will create web shows, screen savers, etc..

The best thing is the feature set. The interface is intuitive. The documentation was very good. But more important (for me) the software maker did not try to include photo editing features that were half baked. This is a straight on robust slideshow maker without weak photo enhancement utilities to clutter up the interface. I use Photoshop to edit. I (now) use Digital Photo Slide Show to present.

Such good value for the price. Get it while it is cheap. And no, I am not related to the owner of the company.

I can't say enough about how impressed I am with the functionality, yet incredible ease-of-use you have managed to build into Digital Photo Slide Show. I tend to be one that measures ease of use by how much I can do with a software product without having to spend much time reading or referring to the manual. It's no wonder your manual is so small - the program is very intuitive. Last night I used my 10-day old trial version of DPSS to give a 15 minute multimedia presentation at my daughter's High School Varsity Girl's Ice Hockey banquet in Wellesley, MA to over 100 people. The show had a total of 250 pictures, with different music for each of six sections and even included a short audio/video clip. Needless to say I got a lot of compliments and a number of folks asked for info on the sofware I used, which I am very happy to share. Obviously I had to feel pretty comfortable with your product in order to use it to provide the primary entertainment for the evening. An incredible value!!

I tried at least six other programs before finding yours. I bought
yours because it did all the things I wanted: music, full screen,
auto-start, choice of excellent transitions, hidden controls, and
shareability with others. The programs I tried or investigated (some I even
bought) were Photo Relay (when the program was licensed by Adaptec), Roxio,
PhotoSuite 4, Windows Digital Media, Easy Slide Show, and PhotoJam Pro 3.

This application is without doubt a very fine piece of work. It is packed with features and is extremely good value for money. Presentation of the working windows on screen is clean and carefully thought out, with no unnecessary frills. It is a no-nonsense program that does its job very well, very comprehensively and is easy to use. The user has complete control over every aspect of the presentation of an on-screen slideshow and the end-product is as professional as one could wish for. The ability to create auto-running slideshow CDs makes it a must-have for anyone who uses graphics files in their work or in pursuit of their hobby.

I love the software. It took me only a few minutes to get it installed and begin using it. I found it to be very user-friendly, and highly configurable. I can create unique 'slide shows' for sharing my life with my relatives who all live clear across the country. After an hour or so of using Digital Photo Slide Show, my husband came home from work, and I told him "I am putting pictures on CDs for Grandma, and I found this great program. It took no time at all for me to learn to use it, and it works great! Can we buy it?" I love the flexibilty of the captions, and inserting the music, and the ability to add video (though I haven't used that yet.) I have enjoyed making this CD probably as much as my grandmother will enjoy watching it.

After trying a number of demo packages available on the www, I downloaded "Digital Photo Slide Show" and experienced that it not only does every thing it promised, but combined all the features one need to produce a perfect slide show in a very uncomplicated way. The possibility of addition of some background music made it exciting. The demo-version contained everything you can do with the registered version, be it for a limited period. This way I could check all the features and knew exactly what I was buying. CDs I sent to Holland and my relatives could run the show without any problem.

In one word: A fantastic program for a very small price.

I recently went to France with a group of artists and took digital photos of a portrait sculpting session in progress, start to finish. I recently purchased your program and have found it what I have been looking for a long time. I am a family researcher and have been previously been placing my JPG formats on CDs and sending to various people around the world, the problem I sometimes get is people who can't load a jpg file let alone a bmp file, with your auto-run program this has solved all problems. My types of JPG's are mostly of archived documents and very early photos, and preserving and cataloguing these on CD's is easy and having the easy print facility in your program is a bonus. I only had the trial program for 24 hours before purchasing it. Having used various Photo Labs for putting images on disc's has not been a success in the past and not cheap either. I found your product by browsing the net after having a novice computer operator had trouble opening my files that I placed on a CD, I thank her now and yourself for your product and I give it 10 out of 10 keep up the good work .

Then I figured out I was looking for something much too complicated. This program is incredibly simple - yet full of features! Believe what you read in these testimonials - don't try to make something complicated out of it. I really like the fact that the files stay in their native format - so that along with the slide show, our daughter will have an archive of each photo individually for whatever need she has in the future.

Did I use the Trial Version before placing my order? Yes - but only because I had downloaded it early on a Sunday and I waited till the following day - Monday - because it was a normal business day. I played with the slide show and the more I found on it, the more I knew I wanted it - NOW. I couldn't believe all the options and opportunities it afforded - and so EASY to use! I fell in love with it within the first 10 minutes.

Did I try any other similar software before purchasing Digital Photo Slide Show? - Heavens, yes! I'm a digital artist, so I'm always trying out this and that - and unfortunately I've spent a small fortune TRYING out and BUYING other software that PROMISED what ONLY YOURS DELIVERS! I tried the PhotoImpact version, and several, several others. None operated with the ease and opportunities yours affords.

I am a dynamic photographer - capturing firefighters as they work! I stand behind, beside, and near them. I can't afford to miss a shot. My shots are extremely important to me and to them. Presenting them in a fashion they will be proud of is a most important consideration for me and this program is just awesome! It's the only program that's even come close to giving me the dynamic rendition I need to represent my photographic skills. Recommend it? Wholeheartedly!

If you are looking for some software for producing slide shows, I recently found a great web site where you can download a program that produces great slide shows. It allows for adding captions, has a great varity of transition elements and is very easy to use. You can easily produce copies on CD, the Web, and for screen savers. You can use it for 30 days free before ordering. I used it for about 15 minutes and decided to buy it. The cost is only $19.95 I tried a few other programs a found this to be the best of the bunch.

I've just purchased a copy of your Digital Slide Show software after trying
it out, and I must say that it is oustanding! After trying many different
software packages to quickly create a distributable photo album for my
not-so-technical family, your product works the best by far! I evaluated
more than 10 products, including Macromedia Flash to do my album, but none
were as easy to use as yours. In particular, yours seems to be one of the
only products that can create a decent slideshow using files as they are on
disk without a bunch of importing and modifications. I like that I can take
my existing image archives ( which have more than 1000 pictures of my son )
and create a slideshow without doing anything to them. ( Many products
require "importing" them all )

I'm a software programmer myself, so I can appreciate how hard it is to
create a good quality product -- the devil is always in the details but
you've done a great job. From a developer perspective, your concept of
creating slideshows while leaving files on the filesystem alone is the core
value of your product. Dont change that no matter what anyone says :)

Your product is a straighforward, easy-to-use, powerful tool, VERY reasonably priced for it's capabilities. The transitions are great. As it turns out, all I will need for 95% of my work is the Alpha Blend. It will take me a while to use the audio features, but I certainly expect to do so.

I did not need to use the software for days to make up my mind to purchase it. It was obvious that it had all the features I wanted, was easy to learn yet was very comprehensive. I used it for 15 minutes then placed my order to purchase it. I then spent the next two hours working on a slide presentation of my trip to So. America, including visits to the Peruvian Amazon, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos. I had spent the previous two hours trying to work with a different program, got frustrated with all the "system lock ups", and inability to do the kind of transitions I wanted. It does not compare to Digital Slide Show and costs nearly double the price.

I tried the Camedia Master software, MS PictureIt 2001, Ulead PhotoImpact5-Bundled Edition; FrontPage 2000 (tried to create an htm slide show but was too cumbersome and couldn't figure out how to add continuous music rather than music per page). I now have PowerPoint but hate MS so bad I probably won't even try to use it. There were a coupla others that I downloaded and tried but have already deleted them from my system and cannot remember their names. They were freebies!

Why did I choose Digital Photo Slide Show?

I loved the versatility that this program gave me. I actually edited my photos in PhotoShop 7.0 and added the text above each photo (this was before I downloaded your program -- I didn't want to redo all that hard work -- I was dealing with 97 photos). I'm going to create another slideshow just for practice and use ALL your features. As far as I can tell, this little program can create a very professional slideshow for a minimum investment. I'm hoping to use it a lot. Have already recommended it to my family and friends.

I tried other software including Photo Suite and Canon Movie Maker. Yours is so superior to either of these there is no comparison. I use the software to make slide shows from still pictures and the ease of using Digital Photo Slide Show is amazing. It is so easy to add music and transitions. I love it.

I have a Nikon D1H digital camera and I enjoy taking action shots.

I was looking for something that would be basically "dummy" proof for those individuals who don't have any computer experience. EZScreenSaver appeared to be that, but with one flaw for what I was looking for .... It had to be "installed" on the user's computer. Sure, with auto run it did everything, but the user still had to be somewhat familiar with settings. With Digital Photo Slide Show, all I have to do is install the "autorun" files to the cd I'm burning, along with the pictures and music, if I so choose, and then all the user has to do is put the cd in the drive, and presto ........ slide show. No installation, no settings, just put the cd in the drive, sit back, relax and enjoy the show. That's what I was looking for. Just because everyone and their brother has a computer does'nt mean they know how to use it. You solved that with dpss ........... put it in and bango ......... there's your
show.

I am very impressed with Digital Photo Slide Show. (DPSS) I have
experimented with some of the other VCD programs like VCDEasy, as well as
DVD Picture Show by ULEAD. DPSS is clearly much more user friendly,
containing a very logical and well thought out design.

I love the design because it allows you to "burn" the CD with your own
software. I made countless CD coasters with the other software packages
before I got got everything right. With your software it is easy to add
something to the CD, and therefore CD disc waste is kept to a minimum.

Truly a great value for only $19.95!

Then your site came up on a Google search for slide show software. I tried all of them and with yours I found the controls easier, the full screen presentation with minimum distraction if the toolbar was displayed and the ease of copy to a disk with no royalty or software required of the recipient of a disk.

It didn't take me long to decide to purchase this software package after just trying it for less than one day. I have found it so simple to use and there are so many options built into it that its just amazing that its so cheap to purchase. I will certainly recommend it to all my friends. I am a webmaster by profession and I plan to include it in most of them. Photography is also one of my passions and I plan to incorporate this program into it also. I have tried a couple of other similar products and without a doubt I believe that this one is a keeper. Great product.....Good Luck with your company.

I downloaded your product within half of hour of playing with it, deciding that it would suit my needs. I've used MS Power Point and a junky program called Picture Parade before. Power Point is great for presentations at work (I'm a senior U. S. Navy Officer,) but not for the slide shows I want to put together. I've been taking photographs for fifty years and have just finished scanninng family pictures that go back twice as long as that. I've had a couple good digital cameras for the past five years. I want to share my work and love with family and friends. Picture Parade just was not reliable and did not have the features DPSS has.

Digital Photo Slide show was easier to use and had more of the features I wanted. Mainly, I could send a slide show and keep the individual JPGs on the CD. It makes it easy to distribute my photos. Those that are not computer literate can just look and those who want to make prints have the JPG file.

I used the software once and was able to produce a bootable CD. This was the first time I had ever used a program like this and to see it load and go realy hooked me. I sent your URL to a friend who does this type of stuff all the time. She tried it and says it was easier to work with than the program she uses (FOTO ANGELO). My next project was to add a mp3 file, worked without a hitch.

Hi Jim, I bought your program and I have got to say it is the coolest and easiest program to use. On my personal web site I took pictures of my dog and set up a web page to show off my dog. The web site is http://www.JTButterflies.com and the pictures are on a link you have to click My Best Friend Missy and the show starts. There are so many ways to share the photo’s you have either on the web or CD or have a party and show the photos off you computer screen. What is great is the file size does not matter it could be 5 photos or 100 or more, and the screens change each time the photos repeat. The ease at which it takes to do this is incredible, very simple and easy. I wish all software were this good and easy to use. I just love and I have been telling my friends and family to buy it.

You have created an excellent program!

I tried almost everything else from free to very expensive. Your program did exactly what I needed and I am very pleased.

The MP3 music files are a great addition to my slide show and they worked unlike another program which tries to allow MP3 files.

The Autorun Producer is another big thing to me. It works easily and precisely.

I do wish there was a Web Slide Show program somewhere which allowed you to click a “next” or “previous” button rather than returning to the thumbnails between each photo. But I’m not complaining. You have an excellent product.

Thanks for producing such a nice and easy to use software package! I am a professional photographer and have been looking for an auto slide show program that would allow me to quickly throw some photos on a disk and then send them to a client without a lot of fuss. Your software will work very nicely for me.

I do have a couple of suggestions for the program.

I like the transitional effects but I would like to choose which one to use. This would be a nice option. You could include a random choice for people who still want all of the transitions to run.

The next suggestion is probably much more work. Most of my clients use Macs because they work in the graphics or printing industry. It would be terrific if the slide show could run automatically on either a PC or a Mac depending on what type of machine the CD was put into.

I have been using Power Point for years and recently I had to make a slide show with 464 pictures. It took what seemed like months because after setting up the slide I had to import each picture separately and resize each after.

When I got a free trial of your Digital Photo Slide Show I decided to try and remake the previous show. It took me 20 minutes and will run on any computer. It doesn't have narration, I admit, but the titles are there .

I have used some of the freebies and they all seemed to lack some of the features I wanted. This program has it all and more! I took digital photos of two weddings of our friends and wanted to give them a nice looking CDROM as a present to remember their wedding days. This program allowed me to create a self-running slide show with their favorite music playing in the background. They were impressed! So was I!!! (p.s. The new version 2002.2 is even better)

We are sharing photos and I wanted to put them into a CD slide show so that all the family members can see them.

I have numerous programs but they were complicated. Your program is so simple that I had a slide show set up in minutes and even had music playing. I will be able to make slide shows for specific branches in our family and
not have to spend hours trying to manipulate pictures etc. Thank you for offering the program as a free 60 day trial. I only needed 2 hours and I knew it was the one for me!
