Web Slide Show
Sharing digital photos over the web is easy with Web Slide Show, part of the Digital Photo Slide Show suite. It allows you to share your photos over the Internet through your web browser. There are no complicated web pages to write. Web Slide Show does it for you. First, decide whether you want to create a page of thumbnails of your images with links to the full size images or a slide show. Select the appropriate tab for either a thumbnail page or slide show. Complete the following information and then click the "Start" button:
"Select Photo Source Folder" - This is the folder on your hard disk where the photos are located that you want to display on your web page.
"Select Target Folder" - This is the folder on your hard disk where the web slide show will be created. It must be different than your Source Folder and should not be a subfolder of the Source Folder.
"Maximum Image Size" - This specifies the screen resolution for image resizing. For example, if you select 640x480, the photos will be resized to fit a 640 by 480 screen size.
"Image Compression" - This specifies the degree of JPEG compression used. Low compression yields images that are larger in size but better in appearance. High compression yields images that are smaller in size but poorer in appearance.
"Resample Filter" - This specifies the method by which images are resized. Selecting None yields the fastest performance but does the least smoothing of the images. Fast Linear is slower but yields much better reductions. Lanczos is very slow but yields the best reductions.
"Rebuild Images" - Once all the images to your web slide show are built you can uncheck this box to change options such as the background color and title without having to resize all your images again.
"Page Title" - This is the title of the web slide show.
"Background Color" - This is the background color on which your images will be displayed.
"Text Color" - This is the color of the text of the title and file names.
"Home Page Link" - This is the link that is activated when the Home icon is clicked from your web slide show.
Thumbnail Tab
"Columns /Page" - This specifies the number of columns of thumbnails that will be displayed.
"Picture Spacing" - This specifies how far apart the thumbnails will be displayed.
"Thumbnail Size" - This specifies the size of the thumbnails in pixels.
"Rows/Page" - This specifies how many rows of thumbnails will be displayed on each page of the web slide show.
"Show Border" - If this option is checked, there will be a border displayed around the thumbnails.
"Show File Names" - If this option is checked, the file names of your images will be displayed in the full page view.
Slide Show Tab
"Style" - Select "JavaScript" if you want your slide show to be displayed using JavaScript. This option will create a slide show that will display properly in most browsers. Select "IE Transitions" to create a slide show that will display transitions between your photos if displayed in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 or higher.
"Delay in Seconds" - This is the delay in seconds between each photo.
Templates Tab
None of these options should be changed unless you are an expert at html.
"Grid Template" - This is the name of the file that is used to create the thumbnail slide show.
"Transition Template" - This is the name of the file that is used to create the slide show with transitions supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer.
"Javascript Template" - This is the name of the file that is used to create a JavaScript slide show.
"Restore Defaults" - This button restores the original default file names.

Web Slide Show uses templates to make your slide show so you can customize the end result by modifying or creating new templates. Once your slide show is created, simply copy all the files and folders to your web server.
